METAMORPHÖSIS · Fine Art Collection
The Art of Perpetual Transformation
In ancient Greece, metamorphōsis (μεταμόρφωσις) meant ‘transformation’ or ‘change of form.’ This collection takes that ancestral concept as its foundation — exploring the in-between states: the instant when form ceases to be stable and has not yet found its new geometry.
Philosophy
Nothing remains static. Seasons shift, flowers bloom and wither, solid forms become ethereal. We ourselves are beings in perpetual redefinition: every experience reshapes us, every loss rebuilds us, every moment of growth returns us as someone slightly different.
Metamorphōsis captures those liminal moments of transition — the second before a flower opens fully, the instant a face dissolves into water, the precise point where the contained becomes movement. These are not images of transformation: they are transformation itself, suspended.
The compositions are built around the concept of contained tension: organic structures that seem on the verge of yielding, fragile balances held in time. Chinese ink provides the architecture — gestural mark-making, deep black masses, negative space that breathes. Watercolour introduces atmosphere. In select pieces, subtle metallic pigment interventions add a material contrast that intensifies the perception of depth and change.
This collection is made for collectors who seek contemporary art with conceptual rigour, formal restraint, and quiet presence. These are not decorative pieces. They are understated statements.
Works in the Collection
The Metamorphōsis collection brings together nine large-format works. Each piece approaches transformation from a distinct angle: some work with the human figure dissolving into its surroundings; others remove the figure entirely, allowing the materials themselves — ink, void, light — to carry the weight of meaning.
Museum Quality. Built to Last Centuries
Every work in Metamorphōsis is produced to the same technical standards as the limited editions of leading contemporary art galleries. The process ensures that the tonal depth of Chinese ink, the delicacy of watercolour washes, and the presence of metallic pigments are transferred to paper with complete fidelity.
Limited numbered edition
Each print is part of a strictly limited run. The work includes a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity. Once an edition is sold out, it is permanently closed — no exceptions.
Giclée fine art print
Precision printing technology using 12 high-density pigment inks. The extended colour gamut accurately captures the depth of Chinese ink blacks, the atmospheric greys of watercolour washes, and the metallic glints that run through select pieces in the collection.
Museum quality paper
308 g/m² acid-free paper with a matte finish and warm white tone. The same substrate used in museum archives and institutional collections worldwide. Resistance to yellowing exceeding 100 years under standard conservation conditions. The paper's texture adds a tactile dimension that no digital reproduction can replicate.
High tonal fidelity
Produced in specialist workshops across the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. International shipping in protective artwork packaging. Delivery time: 5-10 business days depending on destination.
Production under archival standards
40 × 50 cm · 60 × 80 cm · 70 × 100 cm Available framed or unframed. Slim black high-end frame available.
A Closed Edition. No Reprints. Ever
Metamorphōsis is a closed collection of nine works. Each run is strictly limited: when a work sells out, it disappears permanently — no reprints, no exceptions.
Transformation does not wait. Neither does the edition.
If one of these pieces has recognised something in you, do not leave it at the threshold.
