There is a place on the other side of waiting. It is not happiness, nor resignation, nor hard-earned peace. It is something quieter and more honest than all of those. It is what remains when there is nothing left to wait for.

What remains when you stop waiting closes DERIVA with the only serenity possible after the eight works that precede it. The female figure in closed profile stands utterly still — not tense, not collapsed, simply beyond — while branches and wild blooms have grown around her, through her, filling the space of her absence with indifferent life. The world has moved on. So has she, in her own way.

It is the only work in the series where color returns: muted lavender, barely perceptible, in the most distant petals. Not as hope. As trace.
