The philosophy
Before the world, there was Ginnungagap: the primordial abyss of Norse mythology. Not emptiness, but the dense fullness of everything that has not yet taken form. ABYSSOS begins at that instant — the moment before any beginning — and transforms it into nine works of art that interrogate depth through the most direct and visceral expressionist language.
The collection does not celebrate darkness. It inhabits it.
Each piece takes black as a real space — not an absence — and from there, universal symbolic forms emerge: the eye, the spiral, the threshold, the open mouth, the nameless silhouette. Painted with expressionist gesture and pierced by colour in its most saturated state: impossible ultramarine blue, bleeding crimson, pulsing emerald green, unsettling sulphur yellow. The clash between the depth of the ground and the intensity of colour is not decorative. It is the tension from which the collection speaks.
ABYSSOS engages in dialogue with the great masters of Abstract Expressionism — Pierre Soulages, Mark Rothko, Franz Kline — but also with the universal symbolic tradition: the Jungian iconography of the Shadow as fertile territory, Goya’s black paintings, the primitive energy of Basquiat. This is not a collection of references. It is a collection of questions articulated through painting.

Each print is part of a strictly limited run. The work includes a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity. Once an edition is sold out, it is permanently closed — no exceptions.
Giclée fine art print
Precision printing technology using 12 high-density pigment inks. The extended colour gamut accurately captures the depth of Chinese ink blacks, the atmospheric greys of watercolour washes, and the metallic glints that run through select pieces in the collection.
Museum quality paper
