ABYSSOS

is not a collection about darkness. It is a collection that begins there.

Each of the nine works takes black as a real space — not as background, not as absence — and from within it summons forms that different mythologies and languages have attempted to name across millennia: the Egyptian primordial void, the Greek cosmic spiral, the vital double of the Ka, the fissure between worlds, the eye that perceives without seeing, the Sumerian subterranean ocean, the voice that conjures, the fire that transforms, the rising from below.

The visual language is expressionist and uncompromising: urgent gesture, dense impasto, saturated colour that clashes against the darkness with an intensity that does not decorate — it disturbs. Ultramarine blue, crimson, emerald green, sulphur yellow, magenta, flame orange, gold reserved for the end.

Nine words from nine ancient languages. Nine works. Nine prints of each, and not one more.
