Description
This work proposes a portrait that is not limited to physiognomy, but explores the stratification of identity. The face emerges with an almost classic serenity, constructed through a delicate synthesis of ink and washes, while botanical layers and graphic fragments are superimposed as vestiges of an organic memory.
Flowers —drawn with almost scientific precision— do not function as ornament, but as symbolic extensions of thought and emotion. They spring from within the figure, revealing what normally remains hidden: inner life, fragility, constant mutation. The contained palette, dominated by mineral grays, muted greens and soft oxides, reinforces a feeling of suspended time, as if the work belonged to an intimate archive between the natural and the human.
Transparencies, drips and veiled notes evoke processes of slow transformation: erosion, growth, scar. Nothing is immediate; everything is in transit.
