NOBILIS — Blood and Wind
Contemporary Equestrian Art in Chinese Ink — Limited Edition Fine Art
Blood and Wind explores the primal nobility of the horse through expressive Chinese ink, controlled watercolour and structurally embedded metallic pigments. Not portraits — investigations into contained force, bloodline and a beauty that borders on brutality. Conceived as museum-level pieces in strictly limited edition.
Philosophy
‘NOBILIS is not a sequence of equestrian portraits. It is a visual inquiry into primordial nobility.’
‘Each artwork begins with the horse as archetype — bloodline, tension, lineage and contained wind…’
‘The technique integrates: – Expressive layered ink / – Controlled watercolor gradients / – Strategically embedded metallic pigments…’
‘The objective is not representation. It is presence.’
‘Negative space functions as an active force. The black mass is not background — it is origin, terrain, compressed energy.’
NOBILIS — Blood and Wind speaks of nobility prior to domination, of instinct held in the instant before the gallop. Of a beauty that asks no permission. Of the charged stillness that precedes motion. Each piece is made for collectors who understand equestrian art as something beyond representation — as declaration.
Works in the Collection
The Nobilis collection brings together six pieces, each built around a distinct archetype of equine nobility. The Latin titles are not decorative: Aureus evokes gold and light; Argentum, silver and the coldness of steel; Obsidiano, darkness as origin; Ventus, the wind as the invisible force that gives form. Primordium is the beginning of all things.
Museum Quality. Built to Last Centuries
Every work in the Bonsai collection is produced to the same technical standards as the limited editions of leading contemporary art galleries. The support, inks and printing process are selected to ensure the work is, above all, built to endure.
Limited numbered edition
Each print is part of a strictly limited run. The work includes a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity. Once an edition is sold out, it is permanently closed — no exceptions.
Giclée fine art print
Precision printing technology using 12 high-density pigment inks. The extended colour gamut captures the full depth of Chinese ink blacks, the atmospheric greys of watercolour washes, and the metallic accents that run through select pieces.
Museum quality paper
308 g/m² acid-free paper with a matte finish and warm white tone. The same substrate used in museum archives and institutional collections. Resistance to yellowing exceeding 100 years under standard conservation conditions. The paper's texture interacts with the image and adds a tactile dimension that no screen can replicate.
High tonal fidelity
Produced in specialist workshops across the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. International shipping in protective artwork packaging. Delivery time: 5-10 business days depending on destination.
Production under archival standards
40 × 50 cm · 60 × 80 cm · 70 × 100 cm Available framed or unframed. Slim black high-end frame available.
Six Works. Closed Edition
Nobilis is a series of six works in strictly limited edition. When a work sells out, it disappears permanently — no reprints, no exceptions.
Nobility is not reproduced. It is recognised.
If one of these works has found something in you, do not wait for someone else to find it first.
