Description
The loss of oneself does not always happen all at once. More often it is gradual, almost imperceptible: something that began at the feet and has been rising ever since.
The body that no longer knows where it ends depicts that process from below. The female figure seen from behind emerges — barely — from a mass of dark roots, splattered ink and organic matter consuming her from the ground upward. Her bare shoulders and nape remain intact, suspended above the chaos with a dignity that should no longer be possible. And yet it is. For now.
There is no elaborate background. No surroundings. Only the body and what is reclaiming it.
